LEBENSLÄUFE

Jana Pastorková studied voice at the State Conservatory (Bratislava) and at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (Bratislava) in the class of Professor Viktória Stracenska. She was a scholar at the conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique Lyone (1998-1999) and her focus was on the interpretation of early music. She also has participated in courses for early music in Prague, Brno, Sienna, Périgueux, Brémen and at the Bach Academy in Stuttgart. As a student, she was already performing as a soloist with the National Theatre Opera, the Chamber Opera, and in the State Opera in Banska Bystrica where she later became a soloist. She co-operated with the Orfeo Chamber Opera in Brno and presently sings as an artist with ensembles from Slovakia and foreign countries as well. (Musica Aeterna, Musica Florea, Solamente naturali, Ars Antiqua Austria, Arte dei Suonatori, Cappella Istropolitana, Slovak Chamber Orchestra, ŠKO Žilina, VENI ensemble and others)  She is a member of the ensemble Musick for a While and teaches voice at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava.

Alžbeta Ševečková finished her study of violin at the State Conservatory (Bratislava) in the class of Professor Viliam Kořínek. She also studied music pedagogy at the University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica. She was a member of the Slovak Radio Orchestra from 1983-1985 and a member of the Dame Chamber Orchestra. She teaches at the Basic Music School of Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavsky in Trnava. Ms. Ševečková is a constituent member of Trnava‘s Chamber Orchestra.and presently is soloist as well as an artistic leader of this ensemble.

Stanislav Šurin was born in Trnava in 1971. After passing his examinations at the Secondary Industrial School for Building in Trnava, he studied organ at the Bratislava State Conservatory, at the Diocesan Conservatory in Vienna and at the Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava under Ivan Sokol and privately with Johann Trummer in Graz. From 1991 to 1995 he was organist at St Martin´s Cathedral in Bratislava. He has taken part as organist in many holy services transmitted on the media (inauguration of all Slovak presidents since 1989, the visit of Pope John Paul II etc). As a soloist with the Slovak Philharmonic, he has performed the organ symphonies of A. Guilmant and C. Saint-Saëns, the Glagolic Mass, Suchoň’s Symphonic Fantasia on B.A.C.H, G. Mahler’s 8^th symphony.
At the premiere performance of Janáček’s Glagolic Mass in Taiwan in 2000, he played the organ solo with the National Symphony Orchestra Taiwan. He has given organ recitals in many European states, in the USA, Mexico and Canada. He recorded his organ solo CD´s in Graz Cathedral, Schubertkirche in Vienna and in the Cathedral of St. John Baptist in Trnava. He is founder and organizer of organ festivals in Trnava, Piešťany and Skalica. From 1999 to 2002 he was chief editor of Adoramus Te – a magazine dealing with sacred music. He is actively involved in the history of organ building and also its contemporary development. In 2000 he organized the first organological conference in Slovakia which took place in Bratislava. He teaches organ in the Catholic University, Ružomberok. In the years 2006-2008 he acted as the Diocesan Musician of the Bratislava-Trnava archdiocese.

LEBENSLAUF

Liubov Shishkhanova, the People’s artist of Russia, graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, where she also completed the post-graduate course in organ and clavichord headed by Professor L. I. Roisman, and the post-graduate course in piano under the guidance of the assistant professor, V. I. Nosov. Since 1972 she has been the soloist with the Yaroslavl Regional Philharmonic Society. For her contribution to the development of Yaroslavl culture in 1994 she was awarded the Regional L. V. Sobinov Prize, and in 2002 she was conferred the St. Luke’s Order for the development of culture in the Yaroslavl region.

The Moscow Patriarchate in 2003 awarded her the 3rd degree Order of Olga the “Saint Princess” equal to the Apostles, honoring her assistance for the propagation of sacred music. During 1975–1976 her expertise allowed her to work with V. Sauer in Frankfurt, studying the basics of organ building. In 1970 she worked in Czechoslovakia as an organist and clavichordist with the higher courses of “Masterly Performance” under the guidance of J. Reinberger (organ) and Z. Ružičková (clavichord). LEBENSLAUF

David Di Fiore made his European debut at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris and since then has achieved great success throughout Europe and North America. His appearances have included the most important festivals in Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Austria and Italy. In North America his performances have included recitals at  the historic Grace Church and St Thomas Church (New York), Trinity Church Great Artists at the Organ,  2 recitals at the International Festival in Morelia, Mexico. His recording of French music and his three Slovak recordings, The Grand Organ of the Castle Church in Kremnica I, II and the third volume, Grand Music for a Grand Castle have been widely broadcast, and have been received with great enthusiasm by both the public and critics. Mr. Di Fiore was a pupil of French organist, Odile Pierre. He has appeared as recitalist, conductor, accompanist, and clinician for the Archdiocese of Seattle, the National Association of Methodist Musicians, has received the award "Distinguished Graduate" from the National Catholic Education Association. Mr. Di Fiore is Director of Music Ministries at Seattle's University Temple United Methodist Church.He also is Pastoral Assistant for Music at the parish of St. John the Evangelist. He is presently (since 2007) teaching organ, improvisation and liturgical organ playing at Catholic University in Ružomberok.
